Try Using Cash to Keep Spending Under Control

Date: Sun, 1. November 2009 15:25:37
pIf you're like most people, you probably use plastic for many of your daily purchases. Since more places take credit or debit cards and many of these cards offer rewards or cash back, it is no wonder they are so easy to use. But this convenience can come at a cost. If you don't keep detailed records of your spending, using the card can lead to spending more than you normally would./p pWhen you use cash for your regular daily purchases, you have a physical connection to your available money, and you can visually see how much you have and how much you spend. With a card, it's all digital and you may not review your purchases until the end of the day, week, or even month. By then, the money has long been spent. But with cash, you open your wallet or purse and immediately know how much you have available to spend, and it may keep you from buying something you don't need. So, if you have trouble keeping your spending under control, a href=http://clk.about.com/?zi=1/1hc#038;zu=http://financialplan.about.com/od/budgetingyourmoney/a/usecash.htmyou may want to consider giving cash a try/a./pp style="background:#f5f3ef;border: 1px solid #d5d0bf;padding:.5em;"a href="http://clk.about.com/?zi=1/1hczu=http://financialplan.about.com/b/2009/10/10/try-using-cash-to-keep-spending-under-control.htm"Try Using Cash to Keep Spending Under Control/a originally appeared on a href="http://clk.about.com/?zi=1/1hczu=http://financialplan.about.com/"About.com Financial Planning/a on Saturday, October 10th, 2009 at 08:57:52./ppa href="http://clk.about.com/?zi=1/1hczu=http://financialplan.about.com/b/2009/10/10/try-using-cash-to-keep-spending-under-control.htm"Permalink/a | a href="http://clk.about.com/?zi=1/1hczu=http://financialplan.about.com/b/2009/10/10/try-using-cash-to-keep-spending-under-control.htm#gB3"Comment/a | a href="http://financialplan.about.com/gi/pages/shareurl.htm?PG=http://financialplan.about.com/b/2009/10/10/try-using-cash-to-keep-spending-under-control.htmzItl=Try Using Cash to Keep Spending Under Control"Email this/a/p

Apple in Talks to Improve Sound Quality of Music Downloads

Date: Thu, 24. February 2011 08:19:06
Barence writes "Apple and music labels are reportedly in discussions to raise the audio quality of of the songs they sell to 24-bit. The move could see digital downloads that surpass CD quality, which is recorded at 16 bits at a sample rate of 44.1kHz. It would also provide Apple and the music labels with an opportunity to 'upgrade' people's music collections, raising extra revenue in the process. The big question is whether anyone would even notice the difference between 16-bit and 24-bit files on a portable player, especially with the low-quality earbuds supplied by Apple and other manufacturers. Labels such as Linn Records already sell 'studio master' versions of albums in 24-bit FLAC format, but these are targeted at high-end audio buffs with equipment of a high enough caliber to accentuate the improvement in quality."
